Cassie
I completed my Certificate III in Childcare back in 2018 with SDIEA. I came to study with them as the organisation I was previously with did not provide the assistance I needed to complete my studies. Despite the late start in the year and the reduced deadline to complete the course, I succeeded! Aside from working hard, this was also due to supportive staff at SDIEA along with their chosen trainers, that saw my potential when I did not and gave me the confidence to complete my qualification. I am now currently working full time in the childcare industry and am so glad to be!

I had been looking for a course that was fast paced and flexible for quite some time, before I finally found SDIEA.
I had been working as a support worker doing community domestic cleans and social supports for the elderly. I needed my certificate III in Individual Support quickly so I could further my career.
SDIEA were very helpful, the enrolment was easy and quick, and I had active staff members there if I ever needed help with the course material and I completed my certificate within 14 weeks.
I now work in my local town as a personal care worker for a great company, all thanks to SDIEA!

Laura
My son completed a course through SDIEA in 2017, and when my job finished up, he encourage me to speak to them, because it was a great place to study.
I went to SDIEA, and discussed what courses they had on offer, that could help me skill myself, and further my opportunities to get a better a job.
I completed the Certificate III in Individual Support. I found the staff that work there very friendly and welcoming, they go out of their way to help you in anyway they can, they work hard to help everyone to achieve their goals.
I would recommend anyone who want to upskill themselves, go in and have a chat and see what courses they have. They might help you get your dream job.

I found out about SDIEA through my counsellor at HEADSPACE. I came to SDIEA to do a course to help me find a job and I chose to study IT because I like computers.
In the course I learned different aspects of IT like doing software installation, and fixing people’s problems with their computers.
I really liked the staff at SDIEA. They are really welcoming, friendly and always there to help and now I am looking forward to working in a computer shop.
I would highly recommend SDIEA to anyone wanting to make a positive change in their life.

PCYC Toowoomba
SDIEA and PCYC Toowoomba have been working together to deliver the “Braking the Cycle” program for Warwick and surrounds. This program supports learner drivers aged 16-25 in gaining their 100 hours of supervised driving, required for graduating to a Provisional licence.

Assisting these youth also provides many rewards for community volunteer mentors involved in the program. “Braking the Cycle” also increases employability, works on personal development, improves road safety skills and increases confidence in participants. During our collaboration with SDIEA we have observed firsthand the positive outcomes gained by these participants, mentors and all staff involved. We look forward to continuing to work with SDIEA into the future towards our mutual goals including community development.

Mt Marlay Rejuvenation Project
Our project would still be in it’s infancy without the hard work put in by the SDIEA work crew. The work is difficult demanding and all has to be done by hand.
The SDIEA work crew is taking on new skills knowledge and understanding, and the mountain is being freed from choking weeds. The community benefit from having this wonderful asset right on our doorstep.
There are very few towns who can boast about such a wonderful asset so close to the town centre mountain, granite outcrops, waterfalls and rocky creeks along with some rather unique indigenous endemic species of flora and fauna, and it wouldn’t have been possible without SDIEA.
